In her drawings, photographs and video art Christina Peretti (born 1980) manifests her view on connections between nature, human beings and Art. Geology is the most important field of inspiration for the artist. She combines Geology and Art and uses geological metaphors such as crystal, volcano, ice, sediment, air and so on to describe artistic, psychological or social processes. In her work, she investigates contrasts and processes of becoming and decay. She is interested in neurological processes of memory, association and the subconscious mind. Peretti also works interdisciplinarily with the discipline of dance and film. Drawing is the common thread in Christina Peretti's work, combining classical drawings on paper with experimental forms - bringing them into new dimensions.
